• Based upon her eye color at birth and her foal coat color, I "suspect" she inherited a cream gene from her dam. If so, she would possess three different color modifying genes: roan, dun factor, and cream. She could be homozygous for black, roan, and/or dun factor, too!

• Rice is super friendly and workable. We own/have owned her sire, dam, maternal grandsire and granddam, and they were all athletic and good-minded horses. She has good legs and a big hip coming on, and will be an eye-catcher wherever she goes!

I have finally realized that working four jobs it too much for me, and for my family. It is with a tremendous amount of sadness that we feel it is time to drastically cut back on horses to reduce my work load.

• Ultrasounded in foal for 2011. The 2011 foal has the following color opportunities:
  93.74% chance for one of the following colors for her 2011 foal:
  28.13%-Smoky Grullo Roan

  The other 6.26% is for black or smoky black (3.13% -Smoky Black and 3.13% -Black). However, if Yahoochie Coochie is homozygous for dun factor [we have not tested her], then erase this black opportunity, which leaves only the color options of grullo variations and blue roan variations above!
  Because she tested homozygous for black, the foal should not be sorrel, red roan, or red dun.

• Many of our horses have a price somewhere in our minds....even if not advertised for sale, so if you see something elsewhere on our site that you like that isn't listed for sale here, feel free to make an offer we can't refuse!  We will probably say "no" if the horse is not listed as being for sale, but have been convinced in the past from time to time.

• We try very hard to be honest and critical of our horses.  We will try to point out areas for improvement on horses for sale as well as strengths.  Please look at all available photos and request a video if you are unsure of a horse's quality.  It is very difficult to see all of the faults on your own horses, but we really try so you will not be disappointed in a horse purchased from us!  We'd rather scare you away than have you be disappointed down the road.
