Rawhide Whiz is a grullo reining-bred stallion that showed great promise during his 2006 training.   After being sidelined in 2007 due to our own financial constraints, he is back in training as of January 5, 2008 and should be in training and/or on the show circuit the entire year except for 3 or so months of the breeding season.

Our philosophy is that color isn't all there is to it.  We want the color, sure!  But look at the horse classifieds sites now and you'll see that there is a lot of color out there on mediocre horses.  Breeding stock shouldn't be mediocre.  It should be the highest quality material whenever possible.  Rawhide Whiz is champion material WITH the grullo color.  Look for this grullo stallion in the coming years in reining!

Note: The first mare that conceives via frozen semen will qualify for a half-price breeding for frozen semen for another mare owned by her owners, or for herself in the year following her conception and subsequent foaling. The half-priced breeding refers to half of the normal breeding fee amount, not including special discounts. Congratulations to Robert in Kentucky! Both of his mares conceived in 2008 with frozen semen! He earned a half-priced breeding in 2009.
