Alaska possesses both the dun factor gene (grullo)
and the roan gene (blue roan), and is technically both a blue roan and
grullo. In combination, she is best referred to as a "grullo roan,"
though AQHA has her registered as a grullo. Most of the time, she looks
more blue roan than grullo roan.
