Several years of being a professional farrier have guided me
to my program's goals, along with a good eye for horses and the ability to
hand-pick ones that fit my ideals. Our program was built from the ground
up: hooves and legs before eye appeal, and all that before papers.
The foundation of our program in the early 1990's has led us to where we are
now: the finished product.
We produce horses with sound structure, eye
appeal, and top it off with a unique color to turn people's heads toward YOU.
Whether you are planning to show in an arena, work in the great outdoors, or
ride down a steep and rocky trail, we plan to create a horse that will give you
the ride-of-a-lifetime that is colored to make all heads turn and watch
your ride-of-a-lifetime.
Our ideal horse possesses characteristics such as the following:
|
Soundness...our number one concern with conformation
overall. An unsound horse doesn't do anyone any good! |
| A good head and neck (but not an incredibly or overly long neck) |
|
A back that isn't too short |
|
A strong hip and gaskin |
|
Dense bone of good size |
|
Angle to the hock (not post-legged) |
|
Good-sized, strong feet |
|
A pedigree that warrants the investment of time and money
you put into your horses. |
There's a reason why the American Quarter Horse is so
versatile, and that's because there's a style for everyone. Your idea of
the perfect Quarter Horse may or may not be similar to ours, and that's ok!
Our goal is to produce a working-horse conformation with eye
appeal, and a pedigree that makes you want to invest in a horse.
We also value honesty in all things. If a horse or foal we
are selling has an imperfection, it will not be kept secret.
We hope you do like our preferences, and when it comes time for you
to shop for your dream horse we hope you'll stop by and see our
dreams-come-true!
