April, 2008: Hi Toni,
Just wanted to give you a quick update -- Ribbon stands about 14.1hh right
now, and is riding great. She flexes, yields her forequarters and
hindquarters, and we have jogged and loped. She even went down the road in a
group of horses like a big girl. She is a true blessing! My mom kept her for
me all this time, because she was "the baby." I think she cried the day I
brought her to my house (about 1 month ago), even though we only live 1 mile
apart. My husband (not a horse person) says she is like a big dog. He put
shavings in the stalls for me today, and she wouldn't leave him along --
just kept rubbing up against him. She LOVES attention! WE cleared out the
draw through her pasture, and had a hot dog roast Sat. night -- Ribbon was
right in the group.
I just love her to pieces, and look forward every day to going out for my
kisses from her.
